I rented for 11 years before finally buying a home with the help of a tax credit. Everyone deserves the chance to put down roots and stay in the community they love. That means keeping housing affordable, stopping corporate landlords from squeezing renters, and making homeownership a real option again.

I know what it’s like to split pills, to juggle extra jobs just to pay the pharmacy, and to wonder if life will ever ease up. I also know the relief of seeing Medicaid step in and finally being able to breathe. Healthcare should be like fire or police protection, there when you need it, without question. Nobody should be one illness away from losing everything.

Nevada runs on hardworking people. From the service workers behind the scenes on the Strip to small business owners to union members, it’s people who keep this state thriving. I believe businesses can succeed without draining the people who make them possible. When businesses play by the rules, pay fairly and give back to the communities they profit from, everybody wins.

Nevada has always been a place where families come to build a future. My neighbors, my friends, and even my kids’ classmates are proof of that. We need an immigration system that keeps families together, secures our borders responsibly, and treats every person with basic human dignity. Nobody should live in fear simply because they came here for the same reason my ancestors did — a better life.

I believe every Nevadan deserves to feel safe, at school, at home, and in our neighborhoods. That means investing in community-based violence prevention, expanding access to mental health care, and supporting smart gun safety measures that protect families while respecting responsible ownership. Safety shouldn’t be political, it should be personal, and it should be possible.

I’m raising two kids in Nevada’s public schools, so I see every day what’s working and what’s not. Our kids deserve classrooms where teachers aren’t burned out, where learning is more than test prep, and where every child feels they belong. And when graduation comes, college or job training shouldn’t chain them to decades of debt. Investing in schools means investing in the future of Nevada.

I’ve built small businesses from scratch right here in Nevada. I know what it’s like to stretch every dollar, to take risks, and to wonder if the system is rigged against you. Every Nevadan deserves a fair shot at success, not just the well-connected few. When entrepreneurs, workers, and families have the tools to grow, Nevada’s economy thrives.

From Red Rock to Lake Mead, this land is home. I want my kids, and yours, to grow up breathing clean air, drinking safe water, and living in a Nevada where the lights stay on and the bills don’t break us. That means protecting our environment, investing in renewable energy, and making sure affordable power is a right, not a luxury.

People are tired of insiders putting themselves before the public. Me too. No matter your party, I think we can all agree government should work for the people who pay the bills. That means more transparency, more accountability, and reforms like term limits that keep our democracy rooted in service, not self-interest.

Nevadans deserve a foreign policy that puts their safety first and treats people with dignity. America should lead by example by defending democracy, protecting supply chains so families aren’t crushed at the checkout, and stepping up on climate change. Because when the planet is safer, Nevada is safer.

In Nevada, nearly 30,000 kids can’t live with either parent. That number breaks my heart. I believe children deserve more than a bed in a system. They deserve the love and stability of family, and when parents can’t be there, relatives should be supported to step in. That’s why I back policies that lift up kinship caregivers, so every child is surrounded by people who love them.

I trust women and families to make the decisions that are best for them. Healthcare isn’t one-size-fits-all, and politicians have no place making choices about someone else’s body or future. Every Nevadan deserves the ability to plan their family, protect their health, and make these private decisions with their doctors, not the government.
